That’s what the eternal showgirl Cher did when she was just starting off her career as a singer.

A rhinoplasty was the very first plastic surgery procedure young Cherilyn Sarkisian La Piere had. The nose surgery led on to other cosmetic surgery procedures like breast augmentation, face lift surgery and more recently laser treatments and Botox fillers.

But it’s not as though Cher looked dorky in her younger years. The pictures I came across of her before her nose surgery disclosed a young girl looking a lot like Barbara Streisand’s younger sister. Her honker was a bit fuller than the elegant nose she sports now.

Over the years though her various plastic surgery escapades have transformed her into a serenading diva who knows how to make the audience whistle for more. Her dynamic stage personality was revealed in full force at her opening night show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas where she is going to perform for a span of three years.

She’s still raking in the millions (she was reportedly paid $60 million) and it looks like its enough to take care of her aging paranoia. She once exclaimed, “Everyone says I am terrified of getting old, but the truth is that in my job becoming old and becoming extinct are one and the same thing.”

Hmm… I don’t quite know what to make of that statement but it seems like her decision to have a rhinoplasty surgery all those years ago was a good one. Look how she looks today!
